Boba milk tea is a popular drink among teenagers . Its a milk flavored drink with black Tapioca balls .The united states is dotted everywhere with Boba shops to stop by and get yourself a drink.You can choose from many flavors including taro, thai,honeydew, and many more !Many people get this, yet no one seems to wonder where all these little black chewby balls originated from.They are from Taiwan..The term "Boba" actually is a SLANG for breasts in the chinese culture. They gave it that name due to the fact that the bobas were "shaped as  breasts".The process of using the black bobas themselves is to cook them. When cooked they are then added inside of flavored milk.You can use them to add in icecreams or shaved ice as well. The culture of "Boba" (the jellies themselves) Started in the 80's.Liu han cheoh introduced them.

Through time, the word got around. People started to create their own kinds of bobas, including different flavored ones. They originally taste like nothing but a chew, yet people around Taiwan added their own twist to it. The only part that gave them flavor before, was the flavored milk.Now, they had their own flavors inside them.This just made the creamy sweetness of the milk even more satisfying to chew with a variety of jellies.Boba started to spread to the United states in the early 90's.Boba guys was one of the first places to introduce A variety of milk teas here.It spread rapidly.Now,there are shops in every city throughout the United states.
